Did you know Building Code Changes are coming in 2024 affecting continuous insulation requirements?
The State of Ohio has voted to update their building code, plumbing code and mechanical code by incorporating the 2021 edition of the International Codes (I-Codes) published by the ICC with Ohio amendments, effective March 1, 2024.
How does this affect you?
- - The update includes an increase in the continuous insulation requirements and R-values for roofing and walls.
- - The effective date applies to when permits are pulled, so jobs bid or proposed prior to that date but permitted and carried out after that date will be required to comply with the new code edition.
